The group has been at the forefront of Tech Ed and its promotional platforms for more than two decades. With a strong commitment to bridging the gap between industry and academia, the organization has launched several groundbreaking initiatives. Apart from the Think Programs we have done much much more.
One of its earliest milestones was the launch of E-Doer’s Digest in 2001, Pakistan’s first student magazine focused on technology. This pioneering effort was followed by the introduction of Tech-Ed in 2005, a platform designed to connect industry professionals with academia.
In addition to these initiatives, the group also created and conducted several workshop sessions Netxpress Teachers @ IT in 2001, Pakistan’s first teachers’ training program, in partnership with the British Council. This program empowered educators to integrate technology into their teaching methods. Some of these workshops were then conducted St different schools like White House Grammar, Roots and Generations schools.
Following this the Netxpress team picked up and did training programs with AKU-IED, training Masters levels students from communities like Hunza and the North and even as far as from Tajikistan, for well over two years, in the nuances and usage of tech. These workshops and sessions ran in 2005-6 and were a great success.
After 2010, the group, which brought the IDG portfolio to Pakistan, continued to build on its initiatives with CIO and PC World. This led to the creation of CIO Campus Conversations, Pakistan’s first tech campus program, which ran from 2011 to 2015. The program included roadshows, a conference titled Campus Connexions, and Mentor Nashtas, where CEOs of tech companies hosted students for breakfast and mentorship.
Through these initiatives, NCC-RP Group has always been at the helm that helped generate a movement connecting industry and academia, shaping Pakistan’s tech education landscape and inspiring future generations of tech professionals.
